window.seat

Window seat, dont want nobody next to me,
I just want a chance to fly, a chance to cry,
and a long bye bye...

[S/O to Eiphlurt again]
I think everybody can agree that Erykah Badu has a way of getting you to step outside the box visually and mentally. The song "Window Seat" & the video respectively is about freeing your mind and not being afraid to express your individuality. People often try to "assassinate" a person's individuality when its something that is peculiar or out of the norm [as portrayed in the video by her being shot in the exact same place JFK was assassinated]. Instead of attempting to understand foreign ideals we shut them down, this is seen throughout history, the execution of Jesus Christ is a great example of this. The highly controversial nudity in the video was far from sexual, rather it depicted liberation. At the end of the day, you must live your life for who you are and don't be afraid to break free from the constraints of the accepted norms of reality.
